We marched to save the NHS

Islington Keep Our NHS Public joined thousands of other demonstrators to march through London’s Saturday crowds to save the NHS on 11 March. We assembled at Warren Street Station and marched to Downing Street.

The demonstration was called by SOSNHS (the largest coalition ever formed to defend the NHS and led by Keep Our NHS Public, Health Campaigns Together, NHS Workers Say No and representatives from the trade union movement). Support came from unions such as RMT, FBU, PCS, NEU, UCU, ADCU, UNITE, BMA and a range of social justice campaigns, including We Own It, The People’s Assembly, Patients not Passports, Socialist Health Association, Migrants Organise, Doctors Association UK, Frontline19, Stop the War Coalition and many more.

You can find more information about what happened on the demonstration – including a livestream of the day – at Keep Our NHS Public.
