The NHS is in crisis. It is underfunded, understaffed and under threat of privatisation. Islington Keep Our NHS Public (IKONP) is a group of concerned local people who are involved in campaigns to alert people to the dangers facing our NHS.  We are one of many groups around the country that are part of the national campaign group, Keep Our NHS Public (KONP).

We are fighting for an NHS which is publicly funded, publicly delivered, publicly accountable and available to all on the basis of clinical need.  We oppose the privatization of health, whether by contracting services out to the private sector or by under investing in NHS services to such an extent that more and more people who can afford it go private, leaving a substandard service for those who cannot.

We are one of many local groups affiliated to the national body Keep Our NHS Public, and most of us take out individual membership and make donations.

Islington Keep Our NHS Public meets online on the second Thursday of the month at 5pm. Meetings last about an hour. If you would to attend, please email us at ikonpislington@gmail.com.
