Volunteering with IKONP is a way to make a positive difference working alongside passionate people from various backgrounds. Media Volunteering

We’re always looking for creative people with media and graphics knowledge to help us with our publicity work. This could involve designing leaflets posters or flyers, putting together online graphics, helping run social media accounts, making information videos, and much more. Original photography to help illustrate our website and social media is always welcome too.

Examples of tasks:

• Graphic Design, (leaflets, memes, gifs etc.)

• Social Media

Campaign volunteering

Campaigning is what we exist to do, so naturally we’re always keen to hear from hands-on people who can help plan and carry out campaigns and spread the word about them.  We’re always looking for friendly and proactive people to get out on the street, for leafleting and running stalls on the street or at particular events. For events themselves, we need stewards and registration teams.

Examples of tasks:

• Leafleting
• Running stalls
• Taking registration at events
• Stewarding

Office volunteering

Running a campaign organisation like ours means we have to stay on top of a large amount of office admin. Though it’s often over-looked, this work is crucial – without it, we would grind to a halt! If you have basic computer and office skills and are friendly and proactive, we’re always grateful for a helping hand.

Types of Task:

• Working on spreadsheets – inputting and sorting information
• Sorting and answering emails
• Phone-banking / ring-rounds
• Posting leaflets and letters

The examples above are not strictly prescriptive – you won’t necessarily end up doing everything above, nor would your role be limited to these tasks only.
